The Story

Pulling at the Threads

Alex is a Marine Corps veteran with an MBA. For over 30 years he has built companies across media, consulting, and products.

He has spent over 40 years pulling at threads most people were told to leave alone. He questioned what he was handed about reality, science, history, religion, and the body.

He set peer-reviewed science beside esoteric material. Sacred geometry, neuroscience, ancient texts, quantum physics, and suppressed history, all checked against each other. He wanted to know what coherence and sovereignty really mean once the guru language is stripped off.

He did not set out to write this book. Once the pattern became visible, he could not stay silent about it.

His notes go back over 30 years, to childhood. Turning them into one coherent book took over 2 years of writing. The result is Master Thyself: a 24-chapter synthesis of what he could no longer unsee.

He splits his time between Houston, Texas and Sedona and Phoenix, Arizona.

A Note From Alex

As Human As Anyone

I have a full life. A marriage. Friends. Music I love loud, at festivals, surrounded by happy people. A glass of wine now and then. None of that contradicts a single page of this book.

I am not a monk, and I never said I was. This book was not written by a man who escaped being human. It was written by a man who is still doing it.

Here is what I can tell you. I am 57. Most people guess 15 years younger. I have been vegetarian since 1996. I am type O positive, and the blood type diet holds that O positive is the one that needs meat. I have an athletic build on the diet I am recommending to you. My health is excellent, and I did not buy it. I built it. What is in this book is not theory to me. It is the reason the numbers look the way they do.

I also still want things I should not want. I give in sometimes. Forsaking my own ego is not finished work. It is an ongoing effort, and it will be for the rest of my life. The ego does not die, and anyone selling you its death is selling you something.

That is the point. Self-mastery is not leaving the world. It is staying in it without being run by it. You can sit at the table. You can pour the glass. You can dance until sunrise. What changes is who is driving.

If you needed me to be perfect for the book to be true, I am going to disappoint you. If you needed me to be real, I am right here.
